Dar Jostejoye Farideh (مستند در جستجوی فریده) is a documentary film about the life of an Iranian woman named Faridah, who was abandoned as a child in the shrine of Imam Reza and was adopted by a Dutch couple. This film shows how Farideh returns to Iran for the first time after forty years and looks for her real family.
This movie was directed by Azadeh Mousavi and Korosh Atai and was released in 2020. This film has also been selected as Iran’s representative at the 2020 Oscars.
This documentary shows how Farideh gets to know three different families, each of whom claims to be her parents, and encounters Iranian culture and customs. This film also deals with the challenges and conflicts that Farida experiences in her journey.
