Hossein Rigi is the director of the film Hook from Sistan and Baluchistan and he experienced professional filmmaking for the first time in 2009 with the film Lipar, a film that appeared in the festival that year. Righi considers the attention to authenticity and looking at the native region of the geography he lived in as one of his most central motivations for filmmaking, and in his second filmmaking experience, he went to a story that takes place entirely in Sistan and Baluchistan province.

The script of the movie hook (فیلم ایرنی هوک) was written by Mehdi Tarabbeigi and the summary of the story says: “Two Baloch sports brothers are trying to achieve their ambitious dreams.”
